Every garment has a story. We help it continue.

What is Sashiko?
The Japanese word translates roughly to "little stabs."
For centuries women in rural Japan used sashiko stitching to reinforce and repair clothing.
Today it inspires the philosophy of repair rather than replace.

Where It Begins
I've always believed that the things we overlook often have the most interesting stories to tell.
Sashiko Jones grew from that way of seeing. I begin with garments that already have a history—the wear, fading, seams, and imperfections that make each piece what it is.
Rather than erase what came before, I respond to it, using hand stitching to discover what the garment might become.
Every piece is made slowly and thoughtfully, allowing its character to emerge. No two garments are alike because no two starting points are alike.
These garments have already lived a life. My work is to help them begin another.
